Dr. David works at the Newcoast Coast and Cerritos offices.
Dr. David Rosenblum received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his Doctorate in Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He has been in private practice optometry for over thirty years. His extensive training included internships at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem studying pediatric ophthalmology, Little Cottonwood Hospital in Salt Lake City, and other clinical rotations in the Boston area. As a member of V.O.S.H, a volunteer organization serving humanity, he made trips to Mexico to treat patients and deliver hundreds of pairs of glasses to those in need. Dr. David lived in the Palm Springs area for many years where he practiced at a cataract surgery center affiliated with Eisenhower Hospital. He also had a specialty practice in which he made house calls to retirement homes throughout the Coachella Valley. Dr. David and his wife Tiffany spent every weekend going into retirement homes examining elderly patients, treating their eye conditions and delivering new glasses. He currently concentrates in general optometry, contact lenses, pediatric vision, laser consultation, and diagnoses and treatment of ocular disease. Dr. David has most recently been focussing in the treatment and management of dry eye. He has treated hundreds of patients utilizing the latest technologies and lenses to restore vision and comfort for this common and frustrating eye condition.
Dr. David has been focusing on treating the corneal disorder known as keratoconus for many years. Without proper treatment, this complex and debilitating disease causes significant vision loss and can lead to corneal transplant in advanced stages. Dr. David has been designing and fitting the latest in state-of-the-art contact lenses which can restore patient’s vision, sometimes to 20/20 in many cases. Patients suffering with keratoconus fly in from all over the country to be fitted by Dr. David, and the restoration of their vision is truly his greatest thrill.
Dr. David and Tiffany have three children. All three kids are competitive athletes, Ally played basketball at UCLA and is now a pro, Josh plays Volleyball at Cal State Long Beach and Rachel is now a lawyer. Dr. David loves surfing, scuba diving, fishing, boating and travel, but spends most of his time at Eyesite.
